Get a Look That Does Not Fade or Crease with These Four Beauty Products

Powder foundations

Did you know that 33% of women will not leave the house unless they have makeup on? For many of us, makeup is how we define ourselves, and leaving the house without it can feel the same as going commando. It is not always comfortable or ideal. Sometimes the problem even when we get makeup on is that it fades fast and leaves us with awkward looking lines or creases. Here are four products we recommend for having a look that lasts all day.

1. Shadow Primer

When I was in high school, I had to try and get into the bathroom between classes so that I could reapply my quickly quickly creasing and disappearing eyeshadow. If only I had known about primer! Eyeshadow primer provides an easy base for your shadow to stick to. It will last longer, crease less, apply more smoothly, and color will be intensified.

2. Lip Primer

Lip primers are basically like eyeshadow primers, expect for your lips. We recommend exfoliating your lips before applying this product. A primer helps smooth your lips, improves application of gloss or lipstick, prevent feathering and bleeding, and increases longevity. Sometimes you can buy an eye and lip primer that will work for both.

3. Waterproof Eyeliner

Even if you do not plan on crying, waterproof eyeliner should be the preferred choice for most people. Eyeliner has been a part of beauty routines since the ancient Egyptians, who wore it back in 10,000 BCA for aesthetics and sun protection. Waterproof liner will last a lot longer, and is good for creating crisp lines. If you are tight lining, which is when you color the water line above your lower lashes, you will definitely need waterproof eyeliner.

4. Long lasting Foundation

Foundation creates an even base for makeup and helps hide blemishes and uneven pigment. The best long lasting foundation formula actually depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, powder foundation is usually the best option. If your skin is dryer, then go with liquid. The most popular makeup in this category tends to be powder.
